Set TX/RX to PCM Framed Single Channel(item 2, pages 11 & 21).
Select CAS 16 and CRC4 as appropriate.
Set TX/RX test pattern to Audio(item 3, pages 12 & 22).
Set TX/RX audio to ON(pages 123 & 223). TX frequency and level can be
adjusted(1Hz and 0.1dB resolution). RX measures frequency, RMS level and
peak code. Measure frequency response, linearity, idle channel noise.
If As TX or As RX used(pages 11 & 21) TX/RX channels can be
incremented/decremented together using CHAN/TS keys.

Turn TX off.
Set RX to PCM Framed Single Channel(item 2, page 21).
Select CAS 16 and CRC4 as appropriate.
Set RX input to monitor or bridging(page 25). Monitor point attenuation can be
adjusted from 15 to 30 dB,using item 6, NEXT or LAST and ENTER softkeys.
Switch on loudspeaker(SHIFT S). Set volume using VOL keys.
Increment/decrement channel using CHAN/TS keys.
Nx64kbit/s CHANNEL MEASUREMENTS
Set TX/RX to PCM Framed Nx64kbit/s (item 3, pages 11 & 21).
Select CAS 16 and CRC4 as appropriate.
Select Set Up Nx64kbit/s (item 8 & 7, pages 11 & 21 respectively).
Highlight channels required for value of N. These can be contigous or
non-contigous.
Or set up RX after TX by selecting As TX (item 8, page 21).
Set up TX/RX test pattern (pages 12 & 22).
Select major error type as pattern (page 36).
Start test manually. Timed start/stop available on page 36.
Review results on pages 31 & 32. Load on graph if required using pages
33 & 34.
